Life in Pictures

What started out as a perfume review ended in my segment Life in Pictures.

First time I heard about Victor and Rolf's FLOWERBOMB was when it was crowned the best perfume of 2005. I was furious that my then favorite Naomi Campbell Cat Deluxe didn’t even make the list, not even realizing this was Vogue’s high-fashion, top-notch designer perfumes and not some model-wanna-be-designer-list. So I went to check it out. 

DAMN! The smell did something to me. I think in that moment I might have gone from a giggly teenager to a seductive woman. This is the strongest and heaviest perfume I ever smelled. It is almost over-powering. It's very sweet and yet a tad obnoxious, definitely an attention getter. It’s dramatic, loud, yet sophisticated and ladylike, feminine and sexy.  But don’t let the title fool you, this smells nothing like flowers whatsoever! To me it smells like heaven!

This is what perfumes used to smell like in the old days. This is also eau de perfume, not some toilet-water (toilet water associates me with the potty water ewww). Only negative is the price. But I can see why it is soooo expensive, a little really goes a long way with this one. And I don’t mind paying up for my signature smell...

We all know what these are from our insecure teenager days. Recycle and use as  heel-pads. Your feet will thank me ;)
